project_O will be an open source implementation of Gateron’s Optical switches. These switches have been out for a while, but as far as I know, no one in the custom keyboard community has posted any footprints or schematics for the surface mount infrared components needed to use the switches.

In this project I am designing a circuit board that can be used as a reference for fellow custom keyboard designers. Eventually I will use this design to create a PCB for project_MX.
